		<description>Much as I&#039;d like to administer a beatdown Tanis-style ... the dude&#039;s exactly on the nose. He&#039;s got us. Egypt is basically the Nile and the few miles of green land on either side of it. Ancient Egyptian culture was unique in many ways because of its unique geography. Not many societies could even dream of building titanic tombs and statues for their dead. The Egyptians could, because they had the biggest backyard in the entire ancient world.

And the Sinai peninsula, of which Tanis comprises the northern half, is basically all desert. When we first encamped on the lake in Tale 1, and I cast around for something to name it, the first thing I did was check online maps to see what the lake was called in real life. That&#039;s when I discovered that there IS no such lake in real life.</description>

		<description>What&#039;s better than making fake bricks? Not making fake bricks because you got them for free! I used my &quot;rollback bonus&quot; for a little bit of everything, but emphasized papyrus, since that doesn&#039;t grow anywhere near Tanis and is a pain to travel for.

Teppy definitely takes server stability seriously, to provide such a generous prize to *everyone* after the crash.</description>

		<description>In T3 beta 2 there was a griefer who stole stones from a dig and also spammed the regional chat. Amazingly enough, there was nothing in place to stop any of this, and the usual social pressure ATITD exerts on its players meant nothing to the griefer.

After about an hour a GM banned them. It was odd to see how a crucial part of gameplay - protecting from griefers - is governed in ATITD by convention as opposed to procedure.</description>

It&#039;s partially because of the playerbase, and partially because the drawback for such actions (being known as a griefer and cheat) in a social game like ATITD way outweighs the advantage of getting a few rocks for free.</description>
